Coaches FAQ – Proedge Football Academy

What football coaching qualifications do I need to apply?

We welcome interest from coaches with or without formal qualifications. Ideally, you’ll hold an FA Introduction to Coaching Football, FA Level 1, or be working towards them. If you’re passionate about youth football development and willing to learn, we’d still love to hear from you.

Do I need to be DBS-checked to coach?

Yes. All Proedge Football Academy coaches working with children must have an up-to-date Enhanced DBS Check. If you don’t have one yet, we can guide you through the process.

Where do Proedge coaching sessions take place?

We currently run football coaching sessions in Farnborough, Fleet, and Aldershot. Most roles are field-based, typically at 4G pitches or local schools.

What age groups would I be coaching?

We work with a wide age range — from toddlers aged 2–5, to grassroots players up to 15 years old. You’ll be matched based on your experience and preferences.

Do you offer part-time football coaching jobs?

Yes. Most of our roles are part-time, covering evenings, weekends, and school holidays. It’s ideal for coaches looking to grow experience alongside other work or study.
